Sao Paulo's Municipal Health Department adopts Business Intelligence solution
The Municipal Health Secretariat of São Paulo (SMS-SP) implemented Oracle Business Intelligence, through Bertini, the company responsible for developing and implementing the system. The solution will manage all the programs related to the Health area and will facilitate strategic decision-making.
Claudio Giuliano Alves da Costa, SMS-SP’s IT coordinator, explains that the BI's main goal is to help the Basic Health Units (UBS) to increase control over all the information.
“Information gathering used to be distributed across all units through the web. Now, with Oracle’s BI solution, data are extracted from the Public Health Integrated Management System (SIGA), which is part of the units’ routine, and translated into planning and monitoring data”.
